Ziekenhuis Zonnegloren, trip 2

We went back to Ziekenhuis Zonnegloren (I just can't get over how cool that name sounds) again yesterday, so here are some more photos. Back near the end of the nature park was a massive sandy dune that was quite awesome.

MONKEYS!

We went to Apenheul (a zoo in the Netherlands that focuses primarily on monkeys) a few days ago. Here are the pictures of generic monkeys. Pictures of other types of monkeys (and perhaps other animals) will be up soon.

I was born here

No artsy picture for this one, more of an actual informative post. As a few of you might know, I was actually born in the Netherlands, in the town of Soest. We went back to visit, and after easily finding the house where we used to live, we had a bit of trouble finding Ziekenhuis Zonnegloren, the hospital where I was born. We stopped and asked, and the woman said that they tore down Zonnegloren years ago. Images of a shopping center or gas station or something like that filled my mind. She went on to say that they turned it into a nature park.
I have to say, this would never happen in the states, and it makes me sad. I love the change. They built a new hospital, in the city instead of out a little bit, and let the land of the old hospital return to nature. The thought of turning land from commercial use back into nature is one we need more of.
So here it is, folks, a picture of the place I was born.

Yes, as you might have noticed, I like photographing flowers

Not sure what kind of flower this is, but there are a lot of them here. Anyone know?
UPDATE: It is a Plumeria (common name Frangipani) flower. Thanks, Dana!

Not sure what this is, either, and again, there are a lot.

This I know. Water lily.

Lotus.

Two more water lilies. (Yes, I realize this is about the fourth picture of this type of water lily I've posted.)
